Purpose of a GPU
(Graphics Card)

A GPU (graphics processing unit) is a computer chip that performs rapid mathematical calculation mainly for the purpose of rendering images. The GPU or mainly known as a Graphics crad or Video card is also used to display the screen of your computer to your monitor using one of the display points that it gives to your computer depending on what graphics card you have. To display your computer screen to a monitor you usually use one of the display ports that are built into the motherboard of your computer but with a graphics card this allows you to have multiple display ports to use, this enables the user to set up multiple mointors to use for easier multi-tasking.
